The New health Plan of Nobama!

To throw some daggers and hopefully awaken some of the Libs that are, well maybe, just sleepwalking:

Has anyone noticed the Perfect Pictures of health that the interviewers find of Out Of Work individuals crying for Health Care?  I know TV puts on a few pounds, but if I were 50 years old and maybe 5'10 300lbs and out of work for 6 months, I am pretty sure that by the time my benefits ran out, I would no longer be 300lbs and expecting people to feel sorry for me.

Don't get me wrong, I am no skinny mini, but I have NEVER taken a handout in my lifetime. Hell, as Self-Employed, I can't even imagine how I COULD collect on the Unemployment Tax I have to pay for!!! Which leads me to my point:

Insurance 101: Premiums you pay must cover the cost of services received by others in the group. There MUST be sufficient amounts of others who are contributing premium and not receiving any benefit - otherwise the insurance company goes out of business.  This WILL NOT CHANGE NOT MATTER WHO IS COLLECTING THOSE PREMIUMS (TAXES).

Our Health care system has its faults, namely the over prescribing pill pushers. But, when it comes to Critical Care, there is no other place I would rather be.  That, my friends is a great Health Care System. Now the question remains; Who should PAY FOR IT? Well, that answer to me is a simple one - the person who received the service. It IS A SERVICE!!!  We all know that and that is not the real hot button with our country.

The Real Hot Button is: Who is going to pay for my PRESCRIPTION for Chronic Illnesses (diabetes, aids, heart disease, etc.)?  I do not see this as any different and neither should you. The Insurance companies are in the business of insuring Critical and Acute injuries and illnesses, not Chronic. The publics perception that Drugs should be covered is a false one at best, but most likely a Greedy One brought on by "You Deserve It" Politicians and Union Leaders.

All the while these groups have been pressing for greater and greater pharmaceutical coverage, Congress also made it more and more difficult for pharmacists to act professionally. Instead, they have become pill bottle fillers and order takers from the Pill Pushers.

Drugs are not an Insurable Event

Once again, the lack of competition and over-regulation costs of the FDA - yes, we need to be Safe, but we also do not need half the drugs we are prescribed- has caused our cost of drugs to climb exponentially. It isn't the production cost, otherwise you would not see the same drugs sold in other countries for half the price - or better yet, extremely similar if not identical brands sold for pennies on the dollar in your veterinarian's office.

Do not leave out the forced insurance games given to us through Congress. You know, the obscene ones like HMO's and FSA's (use it or lose it).

Other cost factors are very easily identifiable too: Litigation and Property Tax, but my favorite is the Lack of Supply of General Practitioners. Many new students will not enter the field due to Medicare and Medicaid, as their pay is severely controlled and limited. So instead they choose Specialist Practices to be able to pay for the massive amounts of Loans they must repay.

Add to this, albeit maybe a smaller consideration is the 5 years of service and out clause for Foreign Student Doctors who come to learn from our system (driving up the cost for education) and then are obliged to return to their Home Country and practice there.

What Congress needs to focus on is:

Create more capacity for New Doctors to Learn and enter the Field

Remove the Incentive to bring Lawsuits - gross negligence is one thing, but their must be caps. Our Doctors are spending too great amount of money on Liability Insurance. That doesn't come out of THEIR pocket as much as it gets passed on to the consumer - US.

Clean up the FDA.

Decrease TAXATION as we all know this is a major stressor on most of our lives that is extremely detrimental to our overall health.

Just think how much better physical and mental shape we could be in if we were not forced to work 40% of our day for someone else?

Of course, the controlling socialist type that he is, this isn't the approach he will take - of course, I have the luxury of already hearing him state otherwise. Instead, this baffoon is going to take us down a road that  is going to lead to Enormous Burdens and Intrusions into our Personal Liberty.

Say good bye to:

This isn't a Slippery Slope or Un-Intended Consequence, this is the Egotistical and Fascist ideologue of this divisive and intrusive person.

Unraveling the Myths

What does this administration and President think Fair and Just is? Let's unravel the myths being fed to the public, not for the past 6 months, but for the past 50 YEARS!

Money is an exchange medium for ones Time and Expertise and until you learn that and appreciate it, you will be living a socialist lie.

It is also discerning that most do not understand the cloaking of 'closet democrats' who hold themselves out as republicans, but are also responsible for creating this bubble.

When money is not Earned, it has lost its integrity - this creates many of the "ism's" surrounding us today. Look up Smithian (David) Economics and maybe that will provide some clarity. Our bubbles get bigger and bigger the longer we hold on to the idea that we are here because of unregulated or deregulated markets. We have not had UnRegulated anything since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was enacted - along with several other significant Acts.

You could also argue that in most cases, the current fraud and misrepresentation was also Regulated. There were checks in place with authority to review the underpinnings within companies. The Choice was made to not look!!

Bubbles in business cycles exist - they always do. However you are failing to comprehend the mega bubbles are a cause of not letting competition work out the poorly managed or overly greedy companies. Instead, barriers to entry keep bad companies in business. Little Bubbles and Never Too Big To Fail!

The reason this Mega Bubble is going to eventually be the worst ever felt is due to two or three things in particular:

Explain Inflation and The Federal Reserve- it is Contrary to ALL Business Fundamentals. No one would dare come into a market saying my competition does XYZ and Charges A, but I am going to start a company and do only XY and charge A+1. You do understand that would be a business that doesn't make it very long at all, don't you? No doubt you can also comprehend that in the last 5 years, the prices of many goods (lets take computers for example) have come down Considerably. Because Businesses either Create a Market and try to protect it, or competition sees a market and tries to take market share by being Cheaper, Better, Faster and the end result is lower per unit costs and margins. As well, as companies grow - the growth rate MUST diminish. This all leads to lower profits / margins as the industry matures.

This doesn't bode well for the Tax Collector, does it? get away from congresses need or ability to collect National Dollars on the Percentage and these issues won't crop up through their Manipulation.

Lots of little companies divvying up a market, providing a lower tax roll for Uncle Sam. Otherwise known as the Free Market method of Spreading The Wealth.

Now, why do we Invest? We all invest for one thing: Today, tomorrow or sometime in the future, we all invest for Income. Taxes make Ownership of public companies possible!

Pensions used to provide additional protected incomes for individuals until Congress came up with Social Security and health care initiatives and of course, wage controls did not help this either. The result was Congress coming to the rescue with 401(k)'s and 403(b)'s. Can I leave it to your imagination of the "Un-Intended Consequences" this has lead to?

Put it this way, it lead to less competition and Freedom Of Choice. now you fill in the blanks with as many poetic adverbs you would like.

I will agree with some on the outcome - mainly because the perceptions of Business and Owner Compensation today is so hostile, that we may have a real hard time coming out of this. Normally, we would just float our artificially inflated economic activity back down to our Need Rate, but this time, it may get really destitute as there has been no appreciation from the recipients of the enormous welfare programs sponsored by the government (instead of it taking place within the Community). This has created a reciprocal resentment and provided our Vote Robbers a great Divide and Conquer tactic that allows them to point fingers at a group other than themselves.

Human nature is lazy, so this is an easy way for the pols to create a needy people. Unfortunately, it is done at the destruction of "Commonality and Community."
